As I have a foreign card, my withdrawals are not restricted. £500 per day if there is enough money in the ATM!

Anyway, don't need a car in Athens as I live in the centre of town and use taxis when required.

Not being amongst the ultra-hatch crowd, I'll add some practicality to this discussion...

Needs to be a hatch for me, wouldn't get a French car again, lease prices on the mid sized Vauxhalls or Fords don't make much sense and never did, which is why I always had Mondeos or Vectras/Insignias.

I guess (excluding the obvious swap to another mid sized VAG variant) it would have to be the 1 series Bread Van (not that I really desire one at all) or the Volvo V40 (again, not really my thing).

I would say the likelihood of VW canning their most popular model, the arguably best selling model globally of any medium sized car is zero, but hey, lets play "what if" :D
