Price please Anniversary GTi
« on: 26 June 2015, 12:38 »
Hi guys, im selling my MK3 Anniversary and I want to get a rough idea of what its worth, Ive bought a van so this needs to go.

Details below,
Mk3 Golf GTi Anniversary limited edition 1996 details
2 litre 8v AGG engine

Good Points:
Had it MOT’d on the 17 may a month early so its MOT’d till 17 June 2016, no advisories.
Low mileage 110k,
 Cam belt done at 79K,
 4 pretty much new tyres,
Loads of service history/invoices/MOT certificates etc, it has a clear HPI check from when I bought it,
Great condition inside and out for a 19 year old car with the original Anniversary interior,
Starts first time every time, drives really well,
Recently had a new mid and back section exhaust,
New HT leads and Distributor cap,
I had new disks and pads fitted all round when I bought it,
New radiator when I bought it,
 New power steering/aux belt,
Comes with waterproof seat covers for the front,
Comes with easy clean rubber mats,
Comes with the correct touch up paint and red caliper paint
Recently had geometry done on the car (tracking / camber / alignment etc)
V5 present
New sill covers

Bad points:
Needs a new driver side electric window mechanism
Needs a new ABS sensor fitted (off side rear), it had a very intermittent ABS light since I have owned it so i tried to fix it before i sell it. I have bought a new one and it comes with the car, but I haven’t got the kit to fit it, I cant get the caliper off as I dont have big enough Allen keys, so I tried to fit it without taking the calier off but as you know they weld themselves in pretty well.
Could do with an anti roll bar bush (off side front)
One head light has a stone chip, doesn’t affect it at all, just cosmetic
Could do with a VW rear wiper.
Needs a new crank case breather hose, one comes with the car, just needs fitting
Alloys could do with a re-furb
Other than that there’s a few age related marks on the body, but nothing major.

So any ideas? it would make a good little tinkering car for someone to mend the above.
I just want a ball park figure, it needs to go so if anyone is interested let me know.
Hope the pictures work!

Thanks for any advice

Marcus

Buy a set of sockets that include large allen key so you can change ABS sensor.... fit breather pipe, 5 minute job.

When buying a car and there is lots of bits that need doing and that are easy to do why is the seller not doing them?? And if he is not doing that really easy stuff what else is there. ;)
Same goes for ARB bushes, though they take a touch more work.

For very little money spent you can surely improve sale price with not even an afternoon of tinkering.
