New or used!
« on: 08 June 2015, 22:01 »
Hi people.
I've still not sold my mk6 Gti. I can't decide on a Gti or a gtd. used prices seem very high. Anyone in Scotland ordered a brand new one with the 12% discount ?  I'm now thinking about waiting on the mk8.
I still feel the mk6 is a better looking car than the mk7. My wish list is
Auto
5 door
Heated seats
Grey or white

I parked next to a white mk6 gtd at work today and i know i am biased but my car look 10 times better

The mk6 is a nice car but it isn't in the same league as a mk7. Try speaking to Bobby at Inch VW in Stirling he is a good salesman and he will be able to get you a good discount. My GTD took 14 weeks 2 days to come.

Indeed - you cannot get a new GTI or GTD for that money ....

Definitely not a used 5 door with DSG for that kind of money yet.

Maybe in about another year or so...

Or you could PCP one rather than buy outright? The cash value of your Mk6 would probably go a long way towards covering it for a couple of years?

Having just bough a lovely condition, well-specced used GTI for exactly this sort of money I think there's opportunity in the private sector to get exactly what you're after.

Yes buying privately is an option - or maybe an option if not needing car finance.
