The best bet for a new rubber nipple would be to ring TPS or your local VW parts desk, if they have someone there who is a bit switched on, and ask them. If it can't be bought separately then a new engine cover is going to be big bucks.
All they'll need is the Reg No and if you have the part number for the engine cover to hand it'll make their life easier as they search their little pictograms.
As for the rattle - can it be replicated with the car stood still with the bonnet up? It sounds like you've done the wiggle test (hence the broken nipple) but it's not unknown for the soundaktor to rattle and vibrate. Time to put your warranty to use.
