First thoughts on my GTD

picked the car up at 11am this morning, the dealer had the blue ready to go home cover over it when I arrived. Drove the car out of the showroom and 8 miles to my house.

The car has the dreaded Bridgestone Potenza's but I have to say that I haven't had an issue with them yet now 28 miles on the clock.

I have noticed that the plastics on the lower half of the car aren't as plush as my 3 series but I can forgive that. Also I don't know why but the shape of the rear view mirror is annoying the hell out of me.

Love the sound of the soundaktor in sport mode is brilliant. Love the sound of it and don't think I will need to turn it down.

Seats are really comfy and the driving position is great, not had a chance to get it above 40 yet so itching to get back out after dinner.

I will try and get some photos if the rain goes off.

Yeah they are going to pay for the transfer of the plates when they finally get changed over. They also filled it with Diesel.

Getting 43.3mpg so far and hopefully that can only get better.

I was fine with the Soundaktor level on my GTD in Sport mode, but it seems more than twice as loud on the R in Race.

Not the easiest thing to setup the auto window wipers I actually had to read the manual, can't remember the mk5 being like that.

Loving the car finally got it out on a couple of miles of A road and the acceleration is great for a diesel hatchback.

Tried putting the radio station logos in earlier but it couldn't read the png files for some reason. I will try again tomorrow.

Funny thing is I work in IT but there is so much tech in these cars it's unbelievable. I never look at manuals for anything.

It took 3 attempts to pair my iPhone and the first 2 attempts had different errors.

Well you've made all us non IT people feel a whole lot better. If you can't figure it, there's no hope for us
