OK odd one.

Today I was being followed by a white van through some start stop traffic for about 4-5 miles, until we came to a stop at some temporary lights.

The dude jumps out, runs up to me (my window is down) and asks me to floor it at the lights because he just wants to hear what it sounds lime at full chat. I obviously obliged lol.

So what's your strangest thing to happen to you in your GTD/I/R?

Just so you're all aware. My R was in sport mode, has a piper cross intake and has the exhaust flap mod done. So it's pretty nice to listen to

He'd been breathing your exhaust fumes for 5 miles, so probably was a little light headed.

Their sergeant has told them to get those bloody speeding fines up in that stretch of road.

Went to Porsche with my dad, he's after a facelift 911 for march next year, went in my car as it was out on the drive, dealer came charging out saying oh wow that a lovely car, can i sit in it? You would have thought it was a hypercar the way he was all over it. Known him for a while and he knew i was getting a GTI but didn't expect him to be so ecstatic to see him, not like he deals with porsches all day for a living is it?

Not had anything like that happen, apart from a majorly old guy, must of been in his 80s, giving it a go in his Renault Sport 200. Was well impressed as he booted it past me at 100.

Out of interest what is the exhaust flap mod?

On the R the exhaust is 2 stage. The outter pipes stay closed unless giving it the beans or in Race mode, thenot they become variable. The flap mod opens them fully and keeps them fully open to give you the true sound of the exhaust
