Trading car in for lease deal
« on: 03 June 2015, 21:46 »
Might sound like a silly question, I don't know?
I own my current GTD outright, but I was thinking about releasing some cash and chopping it in for a lease deal, my question is do any of the lease companies take your car on part ex? Tried selling my car private but I'm just fed up with timewasters

Gone: MK7 Golf R (Tornado Red) DSG, Winter Pack, Keyless, Gloss Black Mirrors

I haven't ever had to do a deal you're looking at, but wouldn't VWFS do you a deal directly. Might be worth just asking your local dealer or calling them

None of the lease companies will be interested in a PX 99% of the time. But if you get the contract hire deal direct from a retailer the used car manager at that supplying dealer may offer a price to buy it off you.

Drop me an email and I will run some numbers for you.

My dealer wouldn't buy my car off me but it is a BMW when using the leasing option but we're happy to do ps on a PCP deal. The big problem was that there was £150 a month a difference.

That is generally the case because when you get a car on contract hire from a dealer they are just paid a small handling fee for the supply of the new car. Therefor they do not want to take a risk with any PX. Also contract hire deals are managed through the fleet dept who have no interest in trading cars to auction etc.

Where as on PCP you are actually buying the car from the dealership there for the retail department / Used car managers are inclined to take a Px in 99% of the cases unless it is very specialist.

VW will take your car in px, but will give you a rubbish price. Persevere with the private sale on your car, it's by far the best way to get the most money.

It baffles me why people don't sell their cars privately. I've sold all my cars this way with no hassle what so ever. It's almost like people want to throw their money away!

[/quotient tried selling privately and all I've had are silly offers even less than what VW offered as part ex :undecided:
