Contact Pictures

Hi all,

I have managed to sort out album artwork and downloaded images for the radio stations but can you get pictures for contacts on there?

I use a iPhone 6 plus and have most of my contacts with pictures synced from Facebook. I can't seem to figure out how to do this?

If anyone knows how that would be grand!!!

Doesn't work with iphones unfortunately, works fine with android devices though.

My contacts have pictures on my car and I have an iPhone 6..... I didn't do anything though, they just appeared. My contacts on my phone have photos from my photo strema, don't know if that's related.

Ben you have to actually assign the pictures on your phone to your contacts. Although most of my contacts are populated with pictures from Facebook, they won't show on my car. I've found its only the contacts I've actually assigned pictures to manually that show in the car. 

My phone is an Android but I'd imagine if it does work on an iPhone as Remlapeel suggests then the principle should be the same.

remlapeel, really interested that you have contact photos showing with an Iphone. I think you must be the first person I've ever heard off getting this working.

Any chance of some screen shots showing this (please blur the photos if you wish), and can you share the settings on you Nav and phone please.

I also have an Iphone 6 (latest IOS 8.3) and the Discover Nav Pro (software 0200) in my GTD and have never seen or been able to show contacts. Wonder if this is a tweak in the new 15 year model plate deliveries ?

If we fail to get it working (which I doubt I will after 18 months), as I'm not tied to apple at all, what's the best alternative to the Iphone6 that actually works with things like contact pictures. I.e. which phones are know to work ?

If you click through to phones "select manufacturer" I thought at first it only had compatibility with those 6 phones or so that it was showing 

Interestingly it says the iPhone doesn't show contact pictures so I wonder if Remlapeel has managed it some other way.

Can't speak personally about iPhone but I couldn't get them on either on my Android Samsung (piece of Crap!!  )and then my Windows phone. What I did (and this has worked for both phones on both my Mk7 Golfs) was to delete the profiles from the car and recheck my contacts and assign photos then pair them back to the car. Just make sure the assign photos box is ticked in the phone settings on the car.

Making me doubt myself now lol. I only have the standard system with no nav so no idea if that's related. I'll grab some screen shots later. I'm out at the zoo today with my wife for my daughters birthday.
