16v not starting

OK so my 2ltr 16v on k-jet has been garage stored for 8 months without moving. Charged battery 1 week ago, it needed a jump but did start ok. Drove it for 10 miles, washed and polished it. Went to put it away and it would not fire at all. Turns over fine but does not try to fire. Could something have got wet from washing?

is the fuel pump priming ?
it could be a blown fuse ?

start with the cheap & easy stuff first

check for fuel and spark first. could just be coincidence that something failed at the same time you were washing it. never had any bother after washing my car though.
