Wipers Smearing
« on: 20 April 2015, 19:28 »
So my drivers side wiper kept smearing on me and tbh it was getting a bit dangerous in the sunshine, so I bought a new set of Bosch wipers and it's still smearing on the drivers side
Anyone had this issue, it really is rather annoying aswell as pretty dangerous

There may be some residue on the screen, that normal washing or glass cleaner won't remove.  You could try one or all of the following, claying the glass, cleaning it with vinegar, Methylated Spirit or Panel Wipe.  Don't forget to clean the wipers too as they may now also have whatever might be on the windscreen.

Also, do you use RainX?  One of the culprits of a smeary screen.

I cleaned my screen last week with a good glass cleaner, but maybe try to clay it. Thanks

Clearly the bosch ones are just as bad  only joking.

Try t-cut, worked a charm for me :) (or use a proper glass polish if you have some) I find glass cleaner doesnt cut it when it comes to road grime etc.

Try Bar Keepers friend. Cheap from a Supermarket / Hardware store.

Don't get it on the paint.

The Bosch ones have been terrible for me.
