Clutch 'dead zone'

Hi all,

I'm on the verge of buying a 2010 GTI, upgrading from a 2009 1.4 TSI (not the twincharger one).

I loved the car on the test drive, but I was surprised at how differently the clutch behaved. It seemed to have a lot more travel and a noticeably smoother transition to being fully engaged. I can't work out if it's a lovely clutch or if there's something wrong with it.

I'd appreciate any advice!

Yeah the stock clutch has long travel yet very smooth, the biting point is quite high on most of them. If it feels smooth and changed nice, nothing to worry about mate.

Ive been meening to ask for ages. Anyone else have a slack dead section on the first cm on the GTI
