Pipercross air intake *missing piece*
« on: 14 April 2015, 19:12 »
Hey guys, it's a long shot, but I have lost a support bracket for my air intake. It's the piece that goes from the engine block to the intake pipe and is bolted on. I seem to ha e lost it somewhere. Anyone have a spare to sell or know where I can get one?

Pipercross said I have to contact a distributor but I don't know of any.

lol i was gonna post a pic of the piece for others to see what you're on about, i get out to car and notice im missing the bloody screw! so, not exactly a critical piece if the rest of my system is still in place!

What you reckon the size is and i'll need a washer on it too won't i?

May i never slag of halfords again! Rocked up expecting to have to buy a load of bolts and beg for a spanner, one of the technicians came out, found a spare bolt and TWO washers and fitted it for me there and then, no charge, just asks that I give him a good review! Bargain!

Not sure if they spare random brackets tho Rem, sorry

Good result there! You might want to pop a bit of thread lock on or use a spring washer to stop it shaking loose again?

He put two different types of washer on and made a point of it so im sure thats one of them, funny tho as I'm sure the original bolt came with a fancy washer too, design flaw maybe?

I got it from an eBay seller so doubt I'll have any luck. I may pack out the hole through the heat shield to support it, if I can't find a bracket
