vibrating badly

had the tracking and balancing done and told that one of my wheels is slightly buckled  but when I'm driving normal speed 30-40 mph the car is now rattling (plus had new roof) but when i do around 70-80 mph the car vibrates like mad for 5 sec then stops for 5 sec then starts again so can't be the wheel  can it? if i go faster i can just about keep my hands on the wheel its that bad anyone got any clues to what it could be!  keep getting different answers.
the roof is rattling very bad also heard sometimes its how the roof goes back on is this true or is it just because I've changed the roof

p.s does anyone now how much a new clutch kit would cost and where to get one from

Hello fella

Try swapping your wheels front-back. If it stops the you know it's one of the wheels or tyres.

You can get a good OE quality clutch kit for about 60-70 from Euro Car Parts or GSF. I live in N.London/S.Herts and there's a good place in Hatfield called Murrays, they specialise in VW/Audi parts

Have you had to lock the wheels at any point?  emergancy stop, hand brake turning it?  flat spots on the tyres will do that.  Failing that, run your hand around the tread of the tyre, if it feels smooth one way and rough the other ( ie. like little ridges ) that can cause a lot of noise and vibration.  Next check all the suspension and wheel bearings, if it feels wobbley and it shoulden't then get it changed.
Dunno about the roof, but probably they're linked.

check yer shocks and springs and most importantly the top mounts one of mine split and i was getting random vibrations at speeds off 50+, the engine mounts can cause vibration but it doesnt normally effect your driving just annoy you.

thanks rain will look at that as noticed the car looks like it is slanted to the side that is vibrating at the front
