Running sh!ty AUM
« on: 28 March 2015, 10:22 »
My 1.8t has been running rough for a while now rough idle and getting Intermittent surging, and power loss when u plant it

very rough in the mornings but even when up to temperature still running rough,

My maf was knackered so ive changed that, new spark plugs PFR6Q
My DV is ok iv tested it im wondering should i try changing the n75 valve? and which one for the AUM engine

going to change coolant sensor as ive heard that can cause problems
anything else that causes those symptons
very annoying as before winter the car was absolutely perfect All sorts of things have started going

Plug it in and check for codes, try disconnecting the maff and see if it runs better, I have an aum too and ive had similar problems I've replaced my maf 3 times with genuine ones and they last about a month so I've just left it disconnected and it runs like a dream

the maf is fine now, i got a 17704 17705 codes, trouble is leaving the maf unplugged it will use more fuel as the air fuel mixture wont be metered?

I'm averaging 34mpg and it seems to pull really well, just cant stop eating maf's that's why I leave it disconnected

Yes oddly the E is a newer revision of the F...
