Doubt they will to be honest. My girlfriend found a load of rust under the rear light which is not an area exposed to "wear and tear" yet VW only gave a 50% contribution to labour as it "a defect in the paint surface not covered by warranty". Still working that out to be honest...

Nothing surprises me with VW... We took it up with head office but got no-where. :sad:

I got mine replaced and painted for free under the warranty, I noticed some paint flaking off under the lip of the osf wing, it wasn't even rusting, breeze Poole dealt with it all, and it went into Poole Accident Repair for just over 24 hrs, came out as good as new
