Drove down to my dealer earlier and to be fair to him the whole place is absolutely manic there. He told me they have been trying to add the tech pack on and would let me know today.
Still nothing concrete but did confirm the price at £1240
£1240 for a GTI/GTD and £1840 for an R. Bloody cheek. 
It's a mistake by VW, I'm sure of it. The GTI/D will soon be at £1840.
I can't see VW putting DNS poverty in the GTI/D as standard this early in the model cycle when there's still a stupidly long waiting list for UK orders.
