Hi all,

I ordered a GTI PP a few weeks ago and was told my estimated build date was week 22.

I did read somewhere that the 2015 update to the car was taking place around that build week. (I'm not sure what the update is apart from something to do with carplay. Not sure if there was anything else or weather this was just a rumour).

Anyway on the tracker it says "new Golf GTI Performance" and i can't remember seeing the "new" bit there before.

Maybe I haven't noticed it before but wasn't sure if anyone had any info.

Yes, I've heard / read from a few sources that the standard radio / Nav screen is getting upgraded to 6.5" (it's currently 5.8") and possibly CarPlay compatible.

Very likely - I believe the new unit is already in the updated Polo and the new Passat

Mine also says "new golf..."  on the tracker (golf R est build week 28).  I wouldn't read too much into that, they probably all say it.  Be nice to get a bigger screen and CarPlay though  :whistle:

BW22 is when the details of the model year changes (MY) are out. These are implemented from BW45 I believe

Mine is also showing as New Golf GTD the new part wasn't there yesterday.

I would have so preferred 6.5" to 5.8" as they would both have the same financial pain. Even better would have been 8" one but this would be really painful on the bank balance. Yeah, size does matter!  :laugh:

My first MK7 built last year bw3 said New Golf and so did my new Golf R built Bw2 this year. However, your build week may well include any model year changes.  Ultimately you will get what you get and you will love it...Enjoy it  :smiley:
