Anyone want to swap their USB MDI Cable for my green or blue collar MDI cable??

Does anybody want to swap their USB MDI cable (not sure of collar colour?) with one of my green or blue iPhone collar cables??

Both are genuine as they came with my car and I don't have any iDevice so have no use for them. Would rather have a USB one for my Android phone!

The green collar one is the new lightning connector one and the blue one is for pre-iPhone 5.

EDIT: not sure if there is such a thing, but is there a micro-USB MDI cable (standard fit for most Android phones)? If so that would be EVEN better!

I got a USB and an Apple connector with my car. Might be worth getting in touch with your dealer and asking why you've not had both?

I got neither with mine and had to ask. Did get one for free but it was the iphone one which I have no use for.

Had the MDi to female USB come with my Scirocco and kept it for the GTD. With no Apple devices, I have no use for the blue collar MDI lead. Most of the time a memory stick filled with 320kbps MP3s is plugged in, but I can plug a USB to miniUSB lead into that.

No idea how much one would cost to buy from the dealership. I personally think it is a bit tight of VW to not give you both, or to at least give you the choice of one or the other.

You can go from MDI to micro USB for a tenner! I just got these recently:

Short right angled USB

Works a treat, but annoyingly the car always defaults to USB media even if you were using Bluetooth. I have a weird .wav file somewhere on my android phone that the car loves to play, it's a female voice saying "10 seconds left, 10 seconds left, 10 sec..." Scared me half to death the first time 

Edit - just seen the price has gone up on Amazon, the MDI cable cost me 7 quid from Bestin on Amazon, so should be able to find a better price somewhere.

Wonder why I got both with mine...as you said though I don't really use the cables for anything I just have all music on an SD card.

Chris: You can give mine a go and do that VCDS scan if you're passing. What are you looking to get out if the USB lead, android phone connectivity or USB stick media access?

Android charging etc. I've got an Audi cable from a mate but not sure if it's the same. I'm coming up to shields tomorrow afternoon for 2.30 to go to the valeting guy. You fancy popping down and I can scan your car while he washes mine or shall I pop over after he's finished? If your about of course
