MK 7 steering wheel controls

The wife has just collected her new Golf Match 2.0 TDi DSG and i notice that the phone controls are now on right hand side unlike my MK 7 GTD which have the controls on left hand side  have VW changed all of the telephone controls on all Golfs ?

I might be wrong but I think they were on the right on the 14 plate gtd I had a test drive in.
