Weird behaviour from entertainment system

I have the Discover SatNav, I always have an iPod plugged in. Today it decided the 'iPod in' option decidedly to change itself to 'aux in'... Even the icon changed from an iPod to a jack plug!

Parked, left it all day, and when I started up again it was back to normal!

What you need to remember is that the head unit is a computer and like all computers they crash or experience software glitches at some point in their life.

So I wouldn't worry about it. It's no stranger than my iPod deciding to stop playing any sound on YouTube and needing me to close and re-open it again for it to work perfectly fine, like it has done a couple of times.

Think about Smart Phones, PC's ect. I'm sure they've all acted strangely at some point. It's when its a frequent, re-occurring issue when it becomes a problem. Just keep an eye on it.

I have same system in mine, cold weather particularly affects it, mind of its own. Very common problem if you also check Golf MK7 forum and VWROC.

Mine the other day was displaying a black screen. Music was still playing and also the touch screen was working as I could play next song but the screen was completely black. When I stopped at a traffic light, I shut down the engine and started again and then the screen was back to normal again.
