I have recently bought a vw golf edition 35 and fancy doing a quick service, but how do you get in to change the air filter?

Are they hidden, I think the filter is part of the engine cover.

Got any pics? Would especially like to see one of the mk1 mini. Partly learnt to drive in an old mini and have great memories of it, a lot of fun.

If you haven't already done it I recommend greasing the posts and rubber grommets that the engine cover sits on. Those covers take a bit of force to remove, plastic is thin in places too.
