GOODYEAR F1 ASYM 2 XL vs MICHELIN PS3 XL
« on: 21 February 2015, 13:39 »
i'm running 225/40/R18, currently on the Michelin's, have been an avid fun for the past 5 years or so and they've been giving me around 25k miles.  I need a new set so i'm between the aforementioned.  I'm not one for change when something works but i've taken a look at the ratings, goodyears rate favorably against the michelins on fuel economy and wet grip (C / A vs michelin's E / A), plus they'll come around 100 quid cheaper.

any ideas?
Wife's: mk8 TSI 1.4 RL, 5dr atlantic blue, DSG, Norfolk 17", pan s/r, leds

Before: mk6 GTI 5dr candy white, DSG, Monza Shadow 18", s/r, bi-Xenons, DCC
Even before that: mk5 GT 5dr tornado red, manual, s/r

well normally you wouldn't, quite a wet winter this year though.  i'm looking at a 7:3 dry/wet ratio
