Hi guys,

Just been trying to diagnose my horn not working. Ended up following the wiring from the steering wheel to the fuse box. Took my fuse box down and to be honest, it's a bit of a mess behind there,  been messed about with over the years by previous owners.

In terms of trying to fix the horn, when I press the horn I hear no click from the relay, if I connect the two words inside the steering wheel together the horn does not sound, if I disconnect either of the two horns I also get nothing. I'm assuming it is earth or wiring related. It did used to work but noticed one day it had stopped (I think after the garage had done some work to tighten the steering column which had some slight movement.

Just wondering what this is? Is it just connecting brown earth's together? Don't have a clue when it comes to car electrics!

Hope someone can help!

Many thanks!

Ok well after refitting the fusebox the horn seems to have starting working again (first time in a few months). I hadn't realised until I was sat at some traffic lights and randomly pressed the horn not expecting anything to happen. The guy in front gave me funny looks through his rear view mirror. Guess that's fixed for now!

Still interested to know what is in the photo above and what its purpose is.
