Mk3 wagon in Bristol
« on: 13 February 2015, 09:24 »
Hello from Bristol. First mk3 purchased a month ago, a '98 wagon with no mods. 1.8 L, 76k, Mystic blue. Very happy so far with the drive and cant find any rust in arches or under carpets.
Has a small leak into drivers footwell - maybe through door seal but also looks like bonnet release grommet has shrunk. Drivers door has dropped which isn't helping the leak - I have a new genuine lower hinge to go in this weekend. Other than that no real issues, so plan to just drive it whilst engine and box are good, then go OBD2 VR. Aesthetically it will remain as original as possible, except lowering kit.

Coilovers and wheels done. Now watertight with new door hinge. Started collecting parts for 24v VR conversion. I see 2 names that keep popping up in searches for loom conversions as electrics is not my thing, rubjonny and benthejettaman. I gather theyre both busy and I cant seem to send either a pm, maybe if either of you guys see this you could pm me a number. Cheers.
SORTED: figured out how to send a message.
