It's silver, so will match my Passat. It will be an opportunity to put our daughters number plate on it to save paying the retention fee each year. The deal's not done yet tho'.

I bought number plates for both kids when they were born, as I didn't think that there would be many single digit prefix plates with their initials on by the time they got to driving age. William's is on the red Golf and Ellie's on retention...at the moment.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The number plates for your kids is a really nice idea.  Though I'm not personally into private plates, maybe I should have done something similar for my 8 year old daughter Katie, epecially as she seems interested in cars  :undecided:

Yesterday as I was driving her to school, she asked me for some facts about the fastest road cars, names, bhp etc.  When I enquired as to why she wanted this info, she said it's because her and a boy in her class (who's into cars), like to have car 'conversations' together!  Should I be worried??

Anyway, you'll have a nice pair of silver cars then.

I fear it would get off topic and people would just start babbling about 2 seater art pieces.

Why not try to sell it on an MX-5 OC?

Mention the reason for sale and that you'd want it bought by someone who will look after it rather than be a parts car or breaker.   I'm sure if its as good as you suggest, someone into them will take a punt and lavish some attention on it?  :undecided:

Put some Jap scene stickers on it to make it cool and put the price up by £500

Seriously though never miss a chance to roll on a "free" car for profit, even if you have some fun in it first
