Misleading title (sort of). I'm considering a new (used) car as I am a bit tired of the old mk2's reliability as a daily driver. But anyway, I need a daily car which won't bore me to tears.

I don't do "around the doors driving". And cover about 10k a year.

I have considered a 350z which can be had for 7k for a reasonable one. Also considered a mk6 gti, obviously a lot more expensive than that. But other than that nothing really.

Any suggestions, literally open to anything that's a bit fun, and is more reliable than a 200,000 mile golf for doing 10-12k a year. The 7k end of the budget rather than the 15k would be nice ;)

- 350z
- mk6 gti
- focus st3 (barrym)
- M3 (2004 ish)
- Civic type R (VW BUSH)
- S2000

Great first shout!

This is why I posted, I completely forget about so many car. No massively fond of the aesthetics, but still, it can make the list :)

I had the mk5 gti 1st then bought a focus st-3 the difference was huge the ford was so much better than the mk5 gti  :smiley:

Yeah I knowits dirty, my boss just got one only 25k though :smug:
It is a beast and the 7 speed paddle box is really quite good.

My mate had a 350z which was fun, damn dangerous in the wet though

Not sure about an m5, could get on board with an M3 though! Not so sure the insurance would be so kind though...

It's going on the list regardless.


^^^ between 7 and 14 grand, so new cars are out ;) and the closer to 7 the better!
