2 days ago I did the g60/sachets clutch conversion all went and started up fine went for long drive just make sure everything was ok and it was. Until today! I went to pick my daughter up from nursery, got their ok but when I got back to the car it wouldn't start up the light came on on the dash and so did the radio but wouldn't turnover. I thought that I might have forgotten to tighten the earth strap on the bell housing or the positive battery cable onto the starter motor but both are nice and secure. So I got the car recovered and dropped it back off at home when the recovery guy said to put his booster pack on the car just to try and it started first time, then we did it without the booster and it started again. I kept going out and starting the car thoughout the evening until about 6:30pm and it started every time. So I decided I'll take it for a spin but now it's died once again but this time while driving.

Would anyone know what could cause this? I've thought of maybe it being the alternator, crank position censor or a possible dead battery.

Sorry for being long winded but iv tried to be as accurate as possible as to what has been going on. So if anybody has any ideas or solutions before I go out and buy a new battery tomorrow that would be great thanks for taking the time to read this

I'd plug it into a vagcom before you start changing stuff, hopefully that'll give you some ideas.

Good luck mate

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

All sorted now turned out to be a shagged starter motor. Tested it with jumps leads on the battery and it spun so slow, bought a brand new one and it's as good as new
