Exhaust and engine note after remap
« on: 14 January 2015, 08:30 »
Hey guys,

Real quick one, I had my GTI remapped by revo at the weekend.(which is unreal) and the car now sounds a lot meaner. I do have the sound actuator disconnected and sound weak before but now actually sounds like a performance car. My I imagining it, or is that possible?

Could be actually sounding better. It'll be running more boost (which in turn will require more fuel/air) which will give youa bigger bang, so it's entirely possible.

That said, it could be that you are currently giving it the beans more than you used to (for testing purposes, lol!) so it could be the increase in revs and throttle making it sound meatier.
