Hi all,

do your washer jets on front lights come (squirt) on every time you wash your windscreen? is there a way to get this off? it makes a hell of a mess of the bonnet/ front every time!

No, not every time.  They squirt every 5th press of the windscreen washer stalk.  Agree they make a terrible mess with soapy water running all down bonnet and sides of car, usually 2 minutes after it's just been washed   I hate the bloody things.

Disable them with VCDS or maybe pull the fuse.  Also as mentioned in another recent thread they rapidly drain the washer reservoir.

That's why many of us have VCDS. So that we can do the things that the dealers can, but won't.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Once a day   Lucky if I press the washer stalk once a week

As the headlamp washers only activate when the headlights are switched on, I try to clean my windscreen when the lights are off, to avoid the dreaded mess.  Still get caught out every now and then though
