Career opportunity at Midland VW
« on: 06 January 2015, 10:57 »
Midland VW are looking to take on a new diagnostic technician this year. Experience with the VAG brand is preferred although training with our diagnostic systems will be provided.

Duties will include general fault finding in all areas, not just engine related as we have to deal with every aspect of the cars. We work on everything VAG from oldschool cars right up to brand new Audi R8s with the occasional Porsche landing in the workshop too. Light mechanical work is part of the job but service work and heavy repairs are carried out by our other specialised technicians.

Customer communication skills are essential as you would be expected to relay information relating to the faults back to the customer so that they fully understand what the problem is and why they must spend money to fix it.

You would also be expected to become involved in the performance side of the business, assisting with remapping and rolling road work and also advice and sales of performance parts. This all tends to tie in with the diagnostic work.

We need someone who is computer literate, holds a current full UK driving license and has their own means of transport. We are based in Cannock, Staffordshire so someone living within this general area would be preferred.

Anyone interested should email info@midlandvw.com with a CV and any other relevant information.

If only I had any kind of experience other than hopelessly attempting to fix my golf...
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.
