I was thinking about painted my ones black when I got them, but they cleaned up nice so thought I would leave them as they are for now.........Personal preference really, do whatever you think will look good. You could mess about in Paint Shop Pro or something first to see what they might look like........................

Look a lot better with the centre caps though. Remember, these are the original Gti alloys as fitted to Mk1 and earlier Mk2 Gti's. So if returning a Gti to its former glory these are the wheels to fit, or if you have loads of cash to spare, go for BBS 15" alloys as they do look better on big bumper Golf's but can cost an absolute f.....g fortune cos ebay sellers have sussed that they can take the piss when selling them.

I've got 14" P-slots on my Mk1 GTI. You can buy a set of the original centre caps from here if you want the wheels complete:

Thanks for the link - I'd have to sell an organ to afford those prices! lol

Tbh, just wanted some half decent alloys to replace the Driver steelies I have been rolling around on for the last month, saw these at the scrappy. The price was right, so I got them......They will do for the minute, until the next set of wheels comes along

Boy are those expensive, over £400 for a set of 14" wheels and centre caps, then add the cost of tyres.
My Pirelli alloys are obviously worth more than the rest of my 16 year old Gti, in fact the centre caps are worth more than the rest of my car. I seriously must think about selling my wheels if folk are daft enough to splash that amount of cash. Ebay here I come.
