I've now gone and bought myself a mk2 driver in tornado red, full service history from new only got 118k miles on.

What's been done to it.

borbet A alloys
Coilovers not sure on make
New Arches on and rolled
New head gasket and valves

Twin head lights which will be changing.

It's supposed to have the big bumpers on but someone has put the small
Ones on. So that will be getting changed back.

Today I changed the twin headlight grille to the single grille with the eyebrow lip on.

I think if prefer a blank grille tbh.



Tomorrow's little jobs are to fit big bumper splitter and a general clean.

On my to do list in the near future is-

Fit big bumper splitter
Clean up engine bay to a decent standard
Change interior (RS fiesta recaro seats I have in mind).
De-wiper boot
20mm wheels spacers all around
Camber shims
Fit arches a bit better

Drivers never had big bumpers, so the small ones are.correct. Besides you have the correct arches and side mouldings for small bumpers.

I thought from 1990 models they all came with big bumpers. Ah well learn something new haha.

I worked with a girl that bought a new Driver in 1991 and that had small bumpers. I'm sure only the GTI's, GL and a special edition Ryder? had big bumpers. Also, only the GTI's had front fog lights in the bumper as standard.
