Photoshop favour
« on: 10 December 2014, 13:55 »
I was hoping someone could do me a quaver and photoshop my pic....

I've just got myself the grille lower trim, and was pondering wether to chrome it or get it painted red. Is there somebody out there who Photoshop the pic (I haven't a computer at home!) so I could possibly see what it will look like. If you cant do it to the pic above then just use another image, just so I can see before I do! Thanks in adv for anyone giving up there time!!

Do you mean the metal strip that runs between the bumper and grill?

I think red will make it look like you stole it from a red car, and I think chrome will be out of place on your car.

I'm no good on photoshop, but we will see if anyone else can...

Yeah, the metal strip that clips into the bottom of the grille. The GTi badge is normally red, so wanted to have something red on the car to emphasise this, other than the red seat belts. If it looks w**k then i aint going to do it, hence the photoshop request, the chrome option, again, if it doesn't look the part, I'll just stick with black. The advantages of Photoshop!!

Why not stick with the red pinstripe? It would really stand out on your black car

My Gti badge is silver...

And so the plot thickens... I'm not a fan of the red pinstripe, however i do like the chrome pinstripe, like on the mk1 golf grille. That is the plan of action for the grille, was just wanting to see if it would work with the lower grille trim in red or chrome. I can see it staying black, but there's no harm in having a dabble to see what works, and what doesn't.... Here's a great example of the mk1 grille with the chrome pinstripe... (Beautiful car)

With ya'

I agree, chrome pinstripe could look good. The problem with doing the grill trim in aside rent colour is its too big. It's a big block of colour that you want different to the rest of the car. Personally can't see it working, but it's not my car! Hopefully someone can rustle something up to show us

I bought some red pinstripe tape from hellfrauds for mine, looked great!

I'm not sure that chrome really goes with the rest of the cars sort of 90's look.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
