Yokohama Blue Earth AE50
« on: 03 December 2014, 10:19 »
The fronts are low on my Mk6 GTD and after research was going to go for Michelin PS3's.

However when I called my local motorsport place that said that the Yokohama Blue Earth AE50 were a new ish tyre and had come top on a few road tests.

I've done a quick bit of googling and the stats look good, but just wondering if anyone has any real life experience of these?

£95 fitted Vs £115 fitted for the PS3. Not that cost is the only factor.

Personally I haven't seen any proper reviews or tests for it, just user comments. I recently went for Goodyear eagle f1s as the users on this forum and auto magazine tests rate them very highly and they're superb at 95 a corner. Mines a gti though so not sure if theyre recommended for a gtd.

Blackcircles is pretty good. Pretty sure the PS3's were about a £100 each on there. Personally Iv'e always had Conti Sport on mine just cos the back have never worn down and want to keep the same tyre all round.

Currently on Conti Sport 5's and they are pretty good they go for just under £100 that fully fitted!

Once you get to 80k miles you see a few tyres pass by.

Another vote for conti sport 5s, excellent tyre in wet and dry.  On my second set now.
