Skirt dent repair advice (pics)
« on: 30 November 2014, 14:19 »
I'm wanting to repair a dent to my skirt but don't really want to buy new skirts if I can help it.

I'm thinking maybe some soft filler, couple of different grades of sandpaper and a rattle can finish.

Also is there any way of knocking out the worst areas from behind? I've had a quick look but can seem to find any access.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

Here's a couple of pics of the damage

Oh that is nasty.

Fill it I say. Otherwise that will be a very costly repiar I'd imagine.

Yea the previous owner had some sort of argument with a parking bollard and the skirt lost haha.

Do you know of any way of knocking out the worst from behind? There doesn't seem to be any access behind it. I'm thinking of maybe getting my hands on a slide hammer to pull some out.

you could always look to have it pulled out? the floor pan will be in the way on knocking that out tbh.

Not sure if I'm looking at the right pictures but is that not your rear 1/4 panel? Never heard of it being called skirt.

Only ways to fix right is have it pulled and filled or a new 1/4.  IMHO you would use too much filler and over time till will crack if filler is used as it sits.
