TDI MFA Wiring

I'm looking to try and wire up MFA into my 1995 Golf TDI.

I've got the MFA Stalk and I've just picked up a Seat Cordoba TDI Sport Cluster with MFA.

Has anyone attempted this before?

From what I've researched, I need to have a wire from pin 9 of my ECU going to the cluster for MPG reading. I then have to wire in the stalk and the cluster. Can I use the wiring loom from a VR6/GTI MFA equipped car?

Also, I need to wire in the Outside Air Temperature sensor and fit an Oil Temperature Sensor. I think the wiring is already there for the Oil Temperature Sensor.

I thought I'd update this a bit further.

Having looked at the gauge wiring, it turns out that all the wires for MFA are already fitted. This includes the violet coloured wire for the MPG input. However, this wire only goes as far as an independent connector. Meaning I will have to extend the wire to the ECU (hoping the ECU will have an MPG output programmed in).

I still need to wire in the stalk, this will be done once the parts arrive.

Looking in the engine bay, close to the oil filter housing, there is an unused green wire with a spade connector. I'm hoping this is for the oil temperature sensor.

I still need to look into the wiring for the air temperature sensor. I think I will end up having to extend some wires from the fuse box for this.

Further update:

The MFA works! Stalks and gauges wired up.

I've fitted an oil temperature sensor in the oil filter housing. There is a blank allen key plug that I removed. The unused wire was connect, engine brought up to temperature and the MFA is reading the oil temperature.

After further investigation, I don't have the wiring into the fuse box for the outside air temperature sensor, so this will have to be added along with the ECU MPG output. Fingers crossed the ECU gives out this signal!
