i have just bought a set of clocks for my golf as the rev counter was not working or the mfa but i want to put the correct millage on the new clocks?

Pretty sure you cant. Otherwise it would be too easy just to change your milage to show what ever you want.

I asked this qustion recently and the answer seemed to be, just keep the old clocks as proof. But even its sketchy because that "proof" could have come from any car.
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.  :smiley:

Couldn't you just swap the speedo from the old set into the new one?

If you take them apart I think you can transfer the mileage as a whole unit. But you can also change the milage on them if you roll it back by hand I think. Just fiddly
