Ashes to Ashes Audi Quattro for sale

The Beeb has decided to sell the Ashes to Ashes Audi Quattro in aid of Children in Need.
It's currently over £22k. Anyone interested at that price?

Good job it's been restored and repainted, because it didn't look great when I saw it in person.

From the additional information in the add "The actual registration number is APH 55Y" which indeed was from 1983.

Regardless of any continuity errors, I would have it in a beat. It will go for big bucks. Didn't the Cinquecento from the inbetweeners go for upwards of 5k? Think what this will do!

I can see it making upwards of £100k. Not so much because it's worth that alone, but there are always people out there that will make a statement purchase when it's for charity. Just look at the sort of money people pay for a day weekend driving Chris Evan's cars.

I'm sure whatever it sells for will be loose change to the winning bidder who will just buy it because they can. What a lovely car to have sat in your garage tho'.

In response to the Audi challenge Phil Glenister said: "The version of the Quattro I drive in the show was introduced in Britain in 1983 and the news series is set in 1982.

"The differences are tiny with slightly different headlights being the most noticeable, but it's still a continuity error.

Nothing so nerdy I just remember most pre 80 cars were junk stamped out in Brum or some other cold place.
This was just awesome when it came out and was part of a car revolution in the early 80's.
