Faulty N75 or 008?
« on: 08 November 2014, 10:26 »
Morning all,

The last week I've noticed the old girl not driving like she used too. When on part throttle I can hear the air recirculating loudly. Then when I request full boost it'll boost to 5-7psi then wait for around a second before opening it all by which point it's revving about 4-5k.

Now I don't ever remember hearing the DV constantly whooshing before. I rebuilt it with the new piston style and a green spring in the summer. Does it need a stronger spring or a new spring? As for the second fault of the hesitant boost I take it this would be down to a lazy n75?

Just for reference there are no fault codes logged.

Try your original DV if you still have it.

Second fault check for split or blocked pipes first. A few ppl have spare n75 which are doing the rounds via Postal service. I bought Nino's spare one but now sold it to reedy20vturbo.

Original DV is long gone dude. Split diaphragm around 3 years ago now. Might have to go and buy a standard one from vw.
