Im happy to walk away from £4000 pounds worth of payments, all I want to be is in the same position i was a year ago and write this off and a bad car experience, my mk6 was faultless. So, VW finance take the car and then credit me with my initial deposit, allowing me to go off and by a new car. Surely that is more than fair!

Seems that you're being more than reasonable to me. Your finance payments covering your use of the car for 12 months...

As stated... have you discussed with VW Finance?

yes, I have spoke to VW finance directly now, they are saying it will take 2 weeks to get back in touch, that is poop. So I know I am going to have to play the waiting game. VWUK and dealer aware.

the only alternative is to wait for the car to be properly repaired, they put me in a proper gti or gtd replacement car until it is properly fixed and repaired, then hit them hard for compensation (3 months minimum finance repayments)

Citizen advice Bureau was helpful, and I kinda know where I stand if I want to hold out.

freak thing to happen to the golf, but it has happened and so far less than impressed with how I am being treated.. I hate people trying to 'shmooze' and show they are concerned but do very little to escalate and offer any real options.

VW finance suck.. 2 weeks to be assigned a case manager.

dealer, paying lip service.

VWUK, rubbish, offered me £1000 in gift vouchers.

I don't know what way I am going to go, but this has been the worst car (reliability wise) I have owned. I hate the way I have been treated and I will NEVER by a VW again, or from the dealer network.
