So I've finally decided to try and get the mk3 heated seats to work in my mk2, after getting the wiring loom and relays to wire it all up. My first problem is as follows...
...as you can see in the pic (hopefully) there are two cut wires, both brown. Now electronics has never been my strong point, but, is it simply a case of the previous owner has simply cut these wires for whatever reason, or is it that there is something missing? This is how it should look....
... this is what makes me think it is simply a case of its been cut for no reason I can see?!?! Also, as I'm on the subject, further up loom theres a brown wire with a brown connector, a black/white wire with a green connector and a blue/grey wire with a grey connector. Am I right in thinking brown is going to be the earth, black/white is going to be live, and the blue/grey is for the illumination of the control switch?!
Is getting to that time of year now where a nice toasty ass warmer will do wonders in the cold waiting for the window to demist!
