Got a letter from VWFS today regarding an error they made on the finance I had on the Scirocco before the GTD, it was like picking a Community Chest card in a game of Monopoly that reads "bank error in your favour, collect £150".
Basically they are obliged by law (consumer credit act 1974) to provide statements for their finance agreements and there was a short period that wasn't covered or they sent the required info later than they are obliged to, so they are unable to charge interest for that period affected and are putting £156.88 back into my bank account within 7 days. This is for a VWFS services account paid off in August 2013. There are also assurances I don't need to do anything further. Not sure when this statement gap occurred, perhaps it happened in the process of paying off the Scirocco around 14 months earlier than the term.
