Picked up my 11 month old GTI

Pick it up yesterday and ver happy with it.

Couple of things while driving home though is the Oil Service message came up. Is this requiring a top up or an actual oil service?

The driver side mirror adjustment doesn't work either so will need to go in for warranty on that.

Oh and car looks best in the dark inside and out.

What exactly did the message say - if it need a service it will not mention the word oil - usually just says 'service now' or similar....

No, as in the lighting on the doors, sills etc.

Had your dealer serviced the car before you picking it up? Sounds like they haven't but a new owner shouldn't be getting any messages at all.

That's an actual oil service.

That's a minor service.  How many miles you done?  Usually they set it to every 10k miles by default, but you can ask them to change it to every 18k miles if you want to keep it in warrantly.

It only has to be done every 10 if you're on the VW service plan.
