I was standard 18s but then specced the 19s, I personally love the Pretorias. I went standard rims with GTD so thought id push boat out and get larger alloys. Each to their own I suppose

I must admit that 19" alloys would be the first and possibly only option (aside from rear camera) I'd spec.

Mind you, I still think of GTIs as GTIs of old and am quite prepared to put up with using a key to start the car and slightly hard suspension and even moving the gear stick by good old fashioned arm power in return for a bit of involvement.

Went for pano roof as well! Really wanted leather and DSG but that alone is like 3k worth of extras, pano roof and 19s are like 1,500 or there abouts. Only wanted the DSG for the "farts" lol and the rapid gear changes, but the manual suits me, feels like I can rag it more than I get the feeling you can in a DSG
