What about car love?

Renting just ain't the same.

Agree.

But isn't car love a given on this forum?

There are going to be plenty of abused leaders out there. I think "privately owned, serviced on time and distance" might be a huge selling point on an R in a few years time.

^^
Agree.  That'll bode well for me, purchasing the old fashioned way - cash  plus T & D servicing.  Just need to decide whether to order this November or leave it till March next year?  Decisions, decisions  :undecided:

If you want one for next March, ordering Nov may already be too late, if you want it next Sept then order next March/April.

Yes I know that.  I meant order next March for delivery Sept.

My mk6 will be 3 years old next Sept and I bought it with the intention of changing it at 3 years for a mk7 R, having decided to pass on holding out for the mk7 GTI.  In any event I was always going to wait until Dynaudio was available on the R (confirmed from 3rd Nov), but I am in a position to order now should I wish to do so (the money's burning a hole in my pocket ).  I am aware of the 5/6 month lead in time, which is nothing new.

I'm not in a particular rush and still enjoying my current car but shall ponder it further.
Is the dynaudio still confirmed for the 3rd nov, I bought a golf r today & the dealer didn't know anything about it.

See thread below - BW45 changes confirmed by dealer evo1986.  He's a reliable source, unfortunately the same cannot be said about many other dealers

Also a few on rforum have been able to add it to their orders even though it's not yet officially on the system.

Hopefully it'll show up in the vw configurator soon after the 3rd and on DTD etc websites.  Are you wanting to add it to your order?

My dealer has told I can add it to the order as soon as it show's up on the Configurator,I'm desperate to have it this time round as I didn't spec it on the gti & really regretted it.

Is it really worth changing an order for? I can't tell any difference at all.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

I must admit I haven't heard the dynaudio in person, but you would think with the sub in the boot & the amplified premium speakers it should sound amazing.

Not overly impressed by Dynaudio if I'm perfectly honest. Mid tones are great but crank up the volume with high bass and the entire car rattles and vibrates with quite a bit of distortion at top end. Turn the bass down to fix this issue and it just sounds crap.
Current - MK7 Golf GTI - Tornado Red, 5 Door, DSG, Performance Pack, Dynamic Chasis Control, Panoramic Sunroof, Discover Navigation, Dynaudio.

On Order - MK7 Golf R - Pearlescent Black, 3 Door, DSG, Vienna Leather, Discover Nav Pro, Rear View Camera, High Beam Assist, Keyless Entry, Dynaudio (Tech Pack)

All gone.

Now;

MK7 Golf R - Lapiz Blue, 5 Door, DSG, Carbon Nappa, Discover Nav Pro.

Not sure thats typical of DynAudio Mr S.
Absolutely no distortion on mine and certainly no rattles or vibration.
Something good came on last night and I cranked it right up and it was crystal clear with loads of depth.
Maybe try altering the settings?
