Online news sites are reporting that the protests are a massive flop..

apparently at one refinery only 6 people turned up to picket... and at another 2 people turned up then went home...


doh! ... still shows how fragile things are..

It makes me laugh that some of you are getting anoyed at the fact people have drained the pumps when you were on your way to fill up too!  :grin: I filled up full, not in a panic but simply being caucious and sensible in case there was a strike.

I reckon there should be panic buying more often!!! I popped out to grab a sandwich from the BP near work at lunchtime, plenty of parking spaces, empty forecourt, no queing to pay in the shop. Seems like nobody at all needs petrol stations today!!! There were only a couple of people quietly filling up, better be the same story at my local shell garage on the way home coz my tank's in the red.

no que's today at any of the petrol stations near me.. shame it didn't really kick off abit, its blockaids and protests that disrupt the country that gets the government listening.. now gordon *skanky* brown wont cut fuel duty at all now  :sad:

Got to 1/4 of a tank this morning as I haven't bothered to fill up since last Friday. There were no queues at my local garage, business as usual. I don't get this panic buying at all. There was never any real mention of a blockade, that's the tabloids stirring it up. These are just protests after all. Anyway, just so long as I get to Ragley Hall and back on sunday I don't give a $h1t :grin:

The tesco I get my super unleaded from usually has cues anyway let alone when there's panic buying!
