I'm unsure, but given its a drivetrain problem and getting the map invalidates the drivetrain warranty I would assume they haven't found it.

I suspect that a dealership won't go out of their way to look for signs of a remap and scupper your warranty by making VW aware of it, if VW can't remotely detect it. After all, warranty work is paid work and keeps the workshop running - they probably don't want to unnecessarily piss off a customer who has bought a car from them either.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

The dealership does not have to 'go looking' for signs of a remap, the auto scan they do when looking for fault codes will always through up a TD1 code which highlights that the cars is mapped.

So, maybe they did notice but because the fault wasnt caused by the tune, Rem didnt get billed. Which is even better news for us thinking that as soon as youre tuned ALL warranty work is void, clearly not the case here.

DSG threw some codes on mine since it was serviced, Revo spotted it when I went to get the map back on, DSG reset under warranty, I do recommend getting friendly with your after sales manager

Who is getting one....

Ken

Well, certainly is more bhp but less tq than ours can be, plus as its clearly a R turbo I thought it would make more than that with an intercooler too. Either way, not sure if its worth the money...

That's a stupid price for 60bhp extra. Given how the car struggles to handle a stage 1 giving it any more power would be a waste. Would keep the traction control busy I would imagine

As we know the gti is good for 315 without worry about the intercooler, you might as well buy this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-S3-VW-Golf-R-GTI-Seat-Leon-Cupra-2-0-TFSI-300-PS-turbolader-IHI-original-/331278335761?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item4d21ba3f11

Flash a mk7 r map on it, and then save up for the rest of the parts.

Anyone wanna take my bcs downpipe off my hands? Still on the car but will be coming off Saturday 14th and being replaced...

Comes with the flex but not heat wrapped (not sure why you'd need it wrapped either) so thats £649.99 new. Obviously this is a year old now, but what do you reckon would be a reasonable amount for it?
