most likely Ex, it would be the best thing for the engine in terms of development as i bet more people will want a stage 2 onwards Polo GTI than a 1.8 leon or golf.

Insert has arrived, but not fitting till next wednesday, need decent ramps as i dont fancy jacking it up and trying to do it myself so i am having to wait for the garage

So fitted the insert wednesday, not really had chance to drive it far since but initial reports are good. Barely any extra vibration, cant actually feel anyway while driving, a little more on start up and reverse. Dont know if im going mad but car sounds/feels better now its in.... anyway not had chance to test the effect its had on hopping-ness but its definitely worth it simply for the nicer gear changes (manual obvs) 1st to 2nd is so much better now, probably just bad skill on my part in the past but feels so much crisper.

I wish vw fitted these as standard then maybe this wouldn't have happened causing 8 grands worth of damage.

If it calms down the wheel hopping it's got to be a good thing, you don't want hassle I've had. Car being off the road for nearly a month having a new dsg, catalytic converter, radiator, new belts & mounts etc,if I was keeping the car & not buying a Golf R I would get a new mount milled out off solid aluminium.
