I see they have a "R version and "GTI" version.....is there actually any difference..?? As both picture on Awesome's website shows a R engine bay. I assume its something to do with the washer bottle position.

How close a match is the plastic to the original engine cover..??

Ken

I'm not sure about if there's any difference between the GTI version and the R version. I doubt it. The plastic is a perfect match to the OEM engine cover plastic. You wouldn't beable to tell the two apart.

Yeah there wont be a difference, you could probably get a cupra one if you fancied lol.

really liking the VWR intake, I know having spoken to their owner and technical guy that they have invested considerably in tooling and development

one will be finding its way on the R in the new year once the first service is out the way as i prefer my intake noise a bit more subtle these days

Just bought this http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golf-mk-7/neuspeed-engine-torque-arm-insert hopefully it will make the car less hoppy and feel better but not be too vibratory. I had one in my derv so it's gonna better than that! Will let you know how I get on. Also I see vwr have fully released their exhaust but can't see a price or anything that makes it different to a miltek...

Not quite sure what you're trying to say there wigit, bit fragmented but if you're saying it's pointless then I shall soon find out and if not, then every bit helps

I see APR have released their R map http://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_20tsi_gen3_mqb_r.html

380bhp and 386lb/ft (thats 523nm!) so if the figures are true thats gonna be a rapid car! Certainly knocks Revo's out of the water but i've always thought Revo's torque was way too low for some reason I cannot fathom why.
