Be interested to here your thoughts on the Shark map GrahamFR? Only thing I'm in two minds over is how the extra power is put down.

I'm very local to them and had my mk5 GTI done there, so would be keen to use them again over Revo.

As its a new map ive said i'll give him a full report after a week or two using it, but initial thoughts are the main problem with the map is I now need bigger brakes lol.

It is quite vicious, and I love it for that reason, but with the rain and the 3mm on my bridgestones left we do wheel spin in 3rd. I will say that the pull is amazing, the delivery in higher gears is amazing, just imagine your normal booting it in 4th, well you now get that feeling in 5th, its like every gear has moved down one in terms of pull and response.

Were you thinking of upgrading hardware or just stage 1?

Probably just stage 1 tbh, don't normally keep cars long enough to get further, although the GTI might be different.

I'd be happy with 260-270, think that would feel more than enough for me!

That's exactly what the Shark mk5 remap felt like gearing wise. Wonder if they are going to offer switchable maps per the STS device or whatever it was called.

I dont know if they can get the STS to work yet, could be wrong but it wasn't offered to me as an option, I am sure it will be soon however.

And you'll get more than for certain, I don't know what their stage 1 map looks like but going by the DTUK Shark box, you're looking at at least 285bhp which will literally transform the car.

I was happy with just the exhaust lol now i'm ecstatic every time i get in the car

Mk7 Dyno day?

Lol I'm up for that!

Some really good power it's making their Graham. Amazing how much power these can produce at just stage 1.

Just noticed APR have seemingly reduced the cost of their Carbonio Intake kit to £410 from £450. Wonder if it's to try and stay ahead of VWR's intake which is due imminently?

I'm starting to get impatient waiting for VWR's R600 intake. I'm about ready to just buy APR's especially now it's come down in price to £410.

Be nice if they dropped the price of the turbo muffler to something reasonable

hmm interesting read... http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2924.0

Dont really wanna start an discussion about it, I know APR has a loyal fan base, but it does their reputation no favours..
